It was a sudden shock for the film fraternity and people all over the world who were mourning on Friday when the veteran and Padma Shri winner Om Puri breathed his last. But not many know that Om Puri was working with Salman Khan and Kabir Khan for the film “Tubelight”
Om Puri has entertained the industry for than 50 years. Om Puri along with Naseeruddin Shah, Shabani Azmi and Smitha Patil revamped the art house cinema in Bollywood with meaningful films like “Ardh Satya”, “Mirch Masala”, “Ardh Satya”, “Dharavi” and “Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron”, the later became a cult classic. Om Puri also made a huge impact in the foreign cinemas including Richard Attenborough’s “Gandhi”, “City of Joy”, “The Ghost and the Darkness”, “The Wolf”, “War” and probably his most memorable role in the British Comedy “East Is East”.
He was working with Salman Khan for the much awaited “TubeLight” which is being directed by Kabir Khan who tweeted with a wonderful message :-
Om Puri will be doing a special appearance in “Tubelight” which is slated for the EID release in 2017.
