Few films have the capability to remain strong at the current situations. With pirated copies available on the first day of a film’s release, the collections are generally monitored for the first weekend and at max first week if it belongs to a superstar. However, “Dangal” has re-written the history once again. With third Saturday collections, “Dangal” broke lifetime collections of Salman Khan starrer “Bajrangi” and will be beating the record by end of today.
With a remarkable second week collection to a powerful figure of Rs 313.50 crores. The collections dropped on its third Friday by less than 50% which showed its strong content. The collections on Friday stood at Rs 6.66 crores bringing a jaw-dropping total of Rs 320.16 crores. The icing on the cake was that business surged on its third Saturday to a solid 8-10 Crore nett as per early trade Figure ( including the Hindi + Tamil + Telugu languages ) collecting a total of Rs 328-330 crores (final numbers are awaited). With this figure, “Dangal” is just few rupees shy away from crossing the lifetime collections of Kabir Khan directed “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” which earned Rs 321 crores in its lifetime.
“Dangal” is now the second highest grossing film of all time in Bollywood and might be able to able to defeat Rajukumar Hirani’s “PK” which earned Rs 340 crores in its lifetime.
