“Sultan” is simply unstoppable. The wrestling drama is driving audience to the theaters and in some cases Salman Khan’s fans are making sure that they repeat the film twice and thrice which is ensuring towering collections at the box office.
“Sultan” has successfully managed to become Salman Khan’s biggest opener of his career with powerful collections standing at the jaw-dropping total of Rs 105.34 crores (Wed-Fri time frame) and beating his previous films like “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” with Rs 102.60 crores [Fri+Sat+Sun] and “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” with Rs 101.47 cr [Thu+Fri+Sat]. “Sultan” has also beaten films like “Kapoor And Sons”, “Neerja”, “Baaghi” and Shah Rukh Khan’s “Fan” to become the third highest grossing film of 2016 after “Airlift” and “Housefull 3” which should easily be broken by today.
“Sultan” has been receiving positive reviews across the world which will help to escalate the biz further. The budget of “Sultan” is Rs 90 crores (Production cost – Rs 70 crores + Printing & Advertising cost- Rs 20 crores). Trade is expecting the film to cross Rs 150 crores which will be another milestone for Salman Khan.
