- Highest opening day grossing film of 2016 beating Shah Rukh Khan’s “FAN”(19.20 crores) and Akshay Kumar’s “Airlift” (12.35 crores).
Highest opening day grossing film for Salman Khan beating his last film “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” which earned Rs 39.01 crores.
Highest opening day grossing EID film earning beating films like “Chennai Express – 33.1 crores”, “Ek Tha Tiger – 33 crores”,”Bajrangi Bhaijaan – 27.25 crores”,”Kick – 26.52 crores”.
To add on to this, “Sultan” has been receiving positive reviews across the world which will help to escalate the biz further. The budget of “Sultan” is Rs 90 crores (Production cost – Rs 70 crores + Printing & Advertising cost- Rs 20 crores). Trade is expecting the film to cross Rs 150 crores which will be another milestone for Salman Khan.
